Would you like to know how you could quickly be rid of these thoughts, not allow them to run your moment or life and have fun doing so, and dramatically boost your self confidence?

Well, here’s one great and fun way to tackle those annoyances AND boost your self confidence:

Have fun. Really. Acknowledge those nagging thoughts and have fun with them. Blow them sky-high, out of proportion. For example, if you’re off for an interview and you’re feeling nervous and anxious, exaggerate that nervousness in a FUN and happy way.

Imagine yourself sitting in front of the interviewee and see him as Mickey Mouse or Snow White. See yourself having fun together, chatting about all the movies Mickey or Snow White were in. Imagine you are both having a great laugh, remembering parts of certain movies, laughing wholeheartedly.

Hear yourself saying the right things, hear the interviewee smiling and laughing, nodding his or her head in agreement with you.

A step further?

If you are a fan of Mickey, imagine the interviewee IS Mickey, and really go overboard. Have great wild fun. Laugh more, reminisce more.

Finally, hug Mickey and thank him for giving you the time to have fun with him, and you look forward to working with him.

So what if you’re wrong? You learn from your mistakes and move on. Mistakes or failures will not kill you. Being wrong will not kill you. It’s not the end of the world. Use mistakes, failures and being wrong as life’s learning lessons.

As best as you can, do not dwell on them. Write down what you have learned and move forward. This way you are sure not to repeat the same mistake again.

Ask yourself, What can I learn from this mistake, this failure (I hate this word) or from being wrong? How can I change direction and move one step forward.

This is the way you will learn more and gain more experiences in life – although it’s better to learn from other people’s mistakes.

Remember, as corny as this may sound, success could literally be just round the corner; it could be the next step or action, perhaps the next phone call.

Make mistakes. Learn. Be confident. Carry on.
Have failures. Learn. Stay confident. Keep going.
Be wrong. Learn. Increase confidence. Keep at it.

Mistakes, failures and being wrong are very important steps to success. Use them in the right way!

We know that the mind is a goal-setting organism; it loves goals and loves to achieve them no matter what. So, knowing that and knowing what it is you want in life, how do you set about programming these goals into your goal-achieving unconscious mind?

One extremely powerful and effective way of programming your mind is through affirmations – positive statements said over and over in a specific way.

The statements, in time, will programme your mind through imagination. As you hear or say the affirmations you will imagine that statement as in the present – done and achieved.

When you imagine the affirmations while in a relaxed state it will be very hard for your unconscious mind to do anything else but make those affirmations a reality.

Now that we have established that you want to be more confident, it is important that, as well as taking the appropriate action to make it happen, you have to expect that you will have the self confidence that you seek.

Your brain, or more concisely, your unconscious mind is a goal-seeking organism. It loves goals, and it loves working towards them. When you set the goal of becoming self confident in a particular area of your life, it works day and night to make that happen.

They key here though is that you must set your unconscious mind to work on what you do want, as opposed to what you don’t.

In other words, making it your goal to “not make a mess of your presentation” instructs your unconscious mind to make a mess of the presentation. Your unconscious mind does not understand negatives.

If say, you do a Google search on “not make a mess of my presentation” you will get over 14 million ways of making a good presentation, power point presentation, how to make a presentation, good presentation design. Even Google doesn’t understand negativity! And your unconscious mind is like a computer – we’ve heard that many times.

So phrase what you want in the positive: “I will make a fantastic presentation” or “I am going to make the best presentation yet.” Come up with a sentence that means something to you, that makes you smile and go for it.

Expect it and you will get it. There is no room for doubt. Believe and expect.
